I am a community engagement strategist, facilitator, and experience designer with over fifteen years of practice helping organizations build trust, spark connection, and create moments that matter. My work spans local government, education, nonprofits, and creative industries, and my approach blends insight‑driven strategy, visual design, and human‑centered experience design.

As the Civic Engagement Coordinator for a county of 110k residents in Virginia, I’ve led the design and execution of large‑scale programs that bring people in, build shared understanding, and deepen participation. I’ve developed engagement frameworks used countywide, created digital experiences that elevate resident insight, managed platforms that reach tens of thousands of users, and produced initiatives recognized with national awards. My work is grounded in clarity, creativity, and systems thinking—I help teams translate complex needs into experiences and strategies that feel intuitive, inclusive, and effective.

I also excel at facilitating dialogue and designing learning experiences. Highlights include a multi‑part series that brought residents, historians, and partner organizations into meaningful conversation about the future of a historic public space; and a participatory budgeting program that empowered more than 300 sixth‑grade students to investigate needs, propose ideas, vote, and implement winning projects. These efforts reflect my belief in engagement as a tool for civic learning, relationship‑building, and collective problem‑solving.

My creative practice extends beyond civic work. With a foundation in visual design, experience design, and brand development, I specialize in shaping human‑centered journeys—whether for a public process, a community event, or a retail brand. I’ve created content that increases awareness, led insight‑gathering processes that improve the user journey, and produced programs that leave a lasting impression. A notable example is the Design Marathon, an initiative I founded and produced to mobilize student and professional designers to deliver more than $500,000 in pro bono creative services to over 60 nonprofit partners.

This blend of civic engagement, experience design, and brand storytelling is also why I’m drawn to organizations where curiosity and compassion shape the client experience. I love supporting brands that care deeply about how people feel in their spaces, and I’m energized by opportunities to:

  • evolve visual identity while honoring history and loyal communities

  • design in‑store and online experiences that feel warm, personal, and unexpectedly delightful

  • use insight‑gathering and thoughtful evaluation to refine the client journey and deepen loyalty

Across every project, my goal is the same: to create experiences—programmatic, visual, collaborative, or brand‑driven—that invite people in and help them feel a genuine sense of connection.

Today, I partner with organizations, schools, public agencies, and creative teams to design workshops and retreats, build engagement strategies, facilitate conversations, shape brand and experience journeys, and develop thoughtful programs rooted in curiosity, empathy, and design.

If you’re a collaborator looking for strategic clarity, creative craft, and a deep commitment to human‑centered engagement, I’d love to work with you.
